Spotlight of Jane’s Talent: 5D Diamond Painting!
At Afya Care we are passionate about highlighting the amazing talents of our team and people we support.
We will be doing regular short spotlight blogs on the talent within our organisation. This first blog is about Jane who’s is a Care Co-ordinator within the organisation. More recently, Jane has found a passion in 5D Diamond Painting.
When we asked Jane about this hobby, she had this to say:
How she got into it?
Jane started getting into this as something else to do in the evenings, as watching TV got boring! She kept seeing adverts for art on her Facebook, so thought it could be worth a try.
What it means to her?
Jane described how it meant a great deal to her, and how it had replaced cross stitching as a hobby. They are both similar, but Jane found that cross stitching was getting more difficult as her eye sight was worsening. This was much less of a problem with 5D Diamond Painting.
How it makes her happy?
This has brought Jane a lot of joy, and she has found it a relaxing process. She is always happy when she has finished and framed them, as they look great! She loves the fact that she can get pieces from her favourite artists, such as Anne Stokes, and Lisa Parker.
How many has she done?
Jane has done over 20 and counting since she started in November 2018!
She enjoys doing it on the weekends with her 6 year old
granddaughter, as it acts as a great bonding experience. Jane was also
asked by somebody she knew if she could create a piece of art for her
son. They said they loved it when it was finished!
